In 2007, Professor Hasu graduated from College of the Redwoods with an A.S. in Marine Science Technology, and was also awarded the local Audubon Society Scholarship for Outstanding Science Student. Once he attained his A.Sc., he took his education further and relocated to Sacramento, CA, where he graduated in 2012 from CSU Sacramento with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry. Professor Floyd now works as the Chief Science Officer (CSO) for The Higher Commitment Analytical Lab. And last but certainly not least, he’s the joyously proud father of his baby girl, born in October of 2020!
Hikari Ryuza Bujutsu® Instructor
Godan (5th Degree), Hikari Ryuza Bujutsu®
Professor Hasu began training with Senior Grandmaster Crimi in 2003 and earned his Shodan (first degree black belt) in Hikari Ryuza Bujutsu® in 2006. Professor Hasu has moved up steadily through the ranks, earning his Godan (5th degree black belt) in December 2019. He’s been a permanent fixture at the Hikari Ryuza Center, making the four-hour commute to continue as a weekend instructor while he was attending college in Fort Bragg, CA. He teaches adult and children classes at the Hikari Ryuza Center, and volunteers his time as a DT Instructor (Defensive Tactics) for Sr Grandmaster Crimi’s POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certified defensive tactics courses, teaches classes for Nevada County’s volunteer deputies and retired law enforcement, and assists in teaching our Women’s Self Defense course (Hikari Ryuza Fujin Goshin No Maki®), which has trained over 1,000 women.
